WAITLIST / ADOPTION CONTRACT

Please note that by filling out this application, you are in no way guaranteed approval for adoption by TaLynnKingCoons. Although we thoroughly appreciate your taking the time to answer all of our questions, TaLynnKingCoons reserves the right to deny any applicant for adoption for any reason we find fit.

RESERVE / PAYMENT

Once this application has been reviewed and you have been notified of your adoption approval, a
onetime deposit of $300, for wait list, $500 for reservation will be required to hold your place in line/
kitten on our official Adoption List. Once available kittens are born, they will be offered to perspective
adopters in the order that their deposits were received. We prepare our babies for their forever homes
by having them up to date on all vaccines and spayed/neutered before their departure from our nursery
at 12 weeks of age. The price of deposit will be deducted from the overall price of kitten with the
remainder due at a minimum of ten (10) days prior to your kitten’s flight date or in cash at pick up.
Forms of payment currently accepted include CashApp, Zelle or Venmo. Deposits are ONLY refundable
should TaLynnKingCoons decide to call off the adoption for any reason.

EXPECTATIONS OF ALL PARTIES

• Adopter agrees and understands that by adopting a Maine Coon kitten/cat from
  TaLynnKingCoons, they will be contracted to providing a lifelong home for said animal.
• Adopter agrees to have their kitten/cat seen by a licensed veterinarian within 3 days of
  adoption to ensure its good health.
• Adopter understands that if the seller at any time finds their TaLynnKingCoons
  kitten/cat to be neglected or mistreated, seller reserves the right to request and regain
  full ownership of the animal at no cost to the seller.
• It will be prohibited for the adopter to give away or resell this animal to any third party
• If at any point the adopter can no longer care for their kitten/cat, adopter is required to
  notify the seller before making new living arrangements for their TaLynnKingCoons.
  Seller agrees to resume immediate care for the animal with no refund to adopter if a
  new and suitable home is not readily available.
• Adopter agrees and understands that it is prohibited to declaw any kitten/cat from
  TaLynnKingCoons at any point during the duration of its life unless (and ONLY UNLESS)
  two separate licensed veterinarians advise that the surgery is medically necessary.
  Contrary to what some people believe, declawing an animal is not a quick or an easy
  process. This surgery is an amputation and the recovery are painful. If you are planning
  to declaw your animal for any purpose other than medical, please reconsider.
  Www.humainesociety.org and www.tica.org both have articles with facts and
  information for anyone interested in education on the procedure and effects of declaw.
• Adopter ensures that this kitten/cat will live indoors. The only time this animal is to be
  outdoors is while being supervised on a harness and lead for outdoor play and/or in a
  safe and secure screened in enclosure/catio/porch for appropriate and regulated
  periods of time.
• Adopter ensures that this kitten/cat will remain properly fed, groomed, vetted and
  loved for the entirety of its life. After the date of sale, all future vaccinations and health
  care for this animal are the sole responsibility of adopter. Seller does not warranty this
  animal against any adverse reactions to any vaccinations given after date of sale
• THIS ANIMAL IS NEVER TO BE BROUGHT INTO A SHELTER, PET STORE FOR RESELL,
  LABORATORY OR ANY SIMILAR FACILITIES FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
• Adopter agrees not to cut contact or block seller for any reason during the lifespan of
  their animal. Seller reserves the right to ask for updates and photos of their graduates
  whenever they chose. Adopter must provide seller with at minimum one photo each
  year for the first 5 years of your cat’s life. This will assist us in making decisions for the
  future of TaLynnKingCoons!

HEALTH GUARENTEE

This animal will be sold as a PET/SHOW ALTER ONLY. Breeching this agreement and allowing
your kitten/cat to roam freely outdoors or having your kitten/cat declawed immediately voids all
health guarantees listed below.

(Our Health Guarantee covers all virus, bacteria, fugus and infection for 72 hours)

• This kitten/cat has been vaccinated, examined and approved for sale by a licensed veterinarian
  prior to departure from our nursery. All current vaccination records and medical records will
  accompany your kitten on their journey home.
• The buyer/ adopter agrees to spay/neuter kitten by 6 months of age or sooner. Adopter will
  receive registration paperwork once proof of Spay/Neuter has been completed by a licensed
  veterinarian
• This kitten/cat is guaranteed to be in good health at date of sale. This health guarantee extends
  three (3) days from the date of sale on our contract. If your kitten contracts any illness, virus or
  infection after the first 72 hours, TaLynnKingCoons cannot be held liable.
• All breeding Kings and Queens of TaLynnKingCoons have been DNA tested and cleared for HCM,
  PKD, SMA, PKDef (PYKD) and PRA, all major health conditions commonly known to the Maine
  Coon breed. Copies of these tests can and will be provided upon request.
• If the kitten is found to have any of the above-mentioned genetic health conditions (besides
  being an unaffected carrier within the first year of life, adopter may be entitled to a replacement
  kitten of equal value when one becomes available or within one years' time. The total liability of
  the breeder should in no case exceed the total purchase price of our binding sales agreement

The parents of your kitten are registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). Your kitten’s
registration paperwork will be sent to you upon proof of spay/neuter. Medical records to date and
other helpful information will be included in your kitten/cat’s folder.
